Model Overview

The Venucia T60 is a B-segment crossover under Dongfeng Nissan's Venucia marque, officially launched at the Guangzhou Auto Show on 16 November 2018. Serving as the brand's entry-level SUV positioned below the Venucia Star and Venucia T70, the T60 carried an indicative pre-sale price tag ranging from RM90,000 to RM120,000. The entire line-up is powered by Nissan's HR16 1.6-litre naturally aspirated engine, championing a core value proposition of "joint-venture build quality at local brand pricing". Its chief competitors include mainstream B-segment joint-venture rivals such as the Nissan Kicks, Toyota C-HR, and Honda Vezel. Venucia also previously rolled out a fully electric variant (T60 EV) carrying a retail price of RM189,800.
Design Language
The Venucia T60 adopts the marque's signature "Hunyuan Aesthetics" design language. Up front, a prominent hexagonal radiator grille with a starry dot-matrix chrome finish is flanked by "dual-pupil" LED headlamps and vertical LED turn indicators, projecting an assertive and tech-forward stance. Along the sides, a two-tone paint scheme paired with blacked-out A- and B-pillars creates a sleek floating-roof silhouette. Diamond-cut 18-inch alloy wheels further accentuate its athletic profile. Round back, light-guide LED tail lamps and dual exhaust outlets are complemented by a broad silver faux skid plate, delivering a rugged road presence. In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4,412 mm long, 1,820 mm wide, and 1,679 mm tall (1,668 mm on selected variants), with a 2,640 mm wheelbase.
Inside, the T60 features a driver-centric wraparound cockpit layout. The centre stack is anchored by either an 8.0-inch floating infotainment touchscreen or a larger 10.0-inch display. The cabin is finished in a two-tone black-and-brown palette, accented with carbon-fibre-look trim panels, satin chrome garnishes, and high-gloss glass-finish switchgear. A flat-bottom steering wheel with tilt adjustment comes standard. The seats are upholstered in synthetic leather, striking a commendable balance between lateral support and daily cushioning.
Powertrain & Performance
Under the bonnet, the Venucia T60 is driven by Nissan's proven HR16 1.6-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine, shared with the Nissan Sylphy and Venucia D60. It develops a maximum output of 93 kW (approx. 126 PS) and peak torque between 154 and 168 Nm. The powerplant is equipped with Twin C-VTC (Continuous Variable-valve Timing Control) technology. Power is delivered to the front wheels via an Xtronic CVT, with a five-speed manual gearbox also available on select variants. It adopts a front-engine, front-wheel-drive (FWD) setup. The factory-claimed 0-100 km/h acceleration takes 12.37 seconds, with a top speed of 170 km/h. Fuel consumption is rated at 5.9 L/100 km on the NEDC combined cycle. It runs on RON 92 petrol and is backed by a 3-year or 100,000 km manufacturer warranty.
From behind the wheel, the powertrain delivers a characteristically family-oriented calibration centred on fuel economy and long-term durability. The CVT responds eagerly to initial throttle input, quickly adjusting ratios to raise engine revs when the pedal is buried. However, top-end grunt is modest, with power delivery tapering off noticeably in the mid-to-high rev range; low-end torque is similarly leisurely, accompanied by a slight initial hesitation.
Chassis & Handling
Underneath, the Venucia T60 rides on a front MacPherson strut independent suspension and a rear torsion beam semi-independent setup. The chassis architecture is shared with the Nissan Kicks platform. Damping is tuned primarily for ride comfort, absorbing minor road undulations cleanly with rapid rebound and minimal secondary body quiver. While the suspension softens towards the end of its stroke, high-speed cruising stability remains composed alongside a light, effortless steering feel. Braking is handled by ventilated discs up front and solid discs at the rear, paired with an Electronic Parking Brake (EPB). Steering is managed by an Electric Power Steering (EPS) system. It rolls on 215/60 R17 tyres. Unladen ground clearance is rated at 162 mm. High-speed moose tests and dynamic track handling are clearly outside its remit, as the chassis setup is tailored squarely for daily urban commutes.
Cabin & Equipment
In terms of cabin tech, the Venucia T60 is equipped with a floating central touchscreen (8.0-inch or 10.0-inch) alongside a full digital instrument cluster. The infotainment OS supports Internet of Vehicles (IoV), smart voice commands, mobile app remote telematics, and over-the-air (OTA) updates. Smartphone mirroring is also supported. Acoustic duties are handled by a 4- to 6-speaker audio setup depending on the trim. For comfort and convenience, it features keyless entry with push-start ignition, manual air conditioning, selectable drive modes, and a rear wiper. The centre console provides practical cup holders and dedicated storage cubbies. Cabin space is generous, with rear legroom ranking in the upper tier of its segment. The boot offers a standard cargo volume of 508 litres, which can be expanded via split-folding rear seatbacks.
Safety & Driver Assistance
On the safety front, the Venucia T60 is built around a high-tensile safety cell structure. Passive safety includes standard dual front airbags, front side airbags, and full-length curtain airbags, providing a total of 6 airbags. Active safety equipment comprises Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA/BAS), Traction Control System (TCS/ASR), and Electronic Stability Control (ESC).
Higher-spec variants are equipped with a Level 2+ Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS). Key functions include Full-Speed Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB/FEB Forward Emergency Braking), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Auto Parking Assist, and Lane Centring Assist. Furthermore, the vehicle packs a 3D Around View Monitor (AVM) 360-degree camera, side blind-spot camera, and an integrated smart driving video recorder (DVR dashcam). A Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) comes standard across the entire range. The Venucia T60 also achieved commendable safety ratings in C-NCAP crash testing.
Market Performance & Verdict
Following its market introduction, the Venucia T60 recorded sales figures that fell short of initial projections. Deliveries reached 885 units in April 2026, following 796 units in March 2026, bringing rolling 12-month sales to 25,505 units. This followed an earlier slump where monthly volume hovered at around 700 units for three consecutive months. The subdued commercial performance has been attributed to modest brand pull, mid-pack overall product strength, ambiguous positioning, and a developing aftersales service network. On the ownership front, drivers generally laud its handsome exterior styling, commodious interior room, and frugal fuel economy, although a somewhat modest boot opening and firm suspension tuning over sharper edges have drawn criticism. On the whole, leveraging Nissan's reliable HR16 engine and CVT powertrain, proven chassis engineering, and an available Level 2+ ADAS suite, the Venucia T60 established a distinctive value-oriented niche in the RM80,000 to RM120,000 B-segment crossover category. Nonetheless, against formidable segment contenders with stronger brand equity and broader market appeal, the Venucia T60 still faces notable headroom for growth.
